Before it was Family Guy
I'm a big fan of Seth McFarlane and The Family Guy. The show is like an ADD version of the Simpsons mixed with the Zucker brothers (of Airplane! Fame). For me, Family Guy is the crack of animated comedy.

If you dislike Family Guy, you should probably ignore this post all together (don't even bother commenting about how Family Guy rips off The Simpsons , or how their comedy is mostly gag based instead of character/plot driven like South Park). All I know is that Family Guy makes me laugh, and that's more than most so called comedies (I'm looking at you “According to Jim”).

I recently came across the (poorly recorded) pilot for The Family Guy when it was still called “Life of Larry”. You'll probably notice at least two gags that made it into the Family Guy we all know and love. See for yourself:

Goodbye Windows, Hello Ubuntu
I bought a new PC a few months ago, and felt as if I was trapped in an abusive relationship. I don't love Microsoft Windows (XP, Vista, whatever), but I didn't have a choice. It was an arranged marriage!

What have I gotten myself into ?!?!

Windows is truly the Ike Turner of operating systems. He beats you, makes you feel stupid, and takes advantage of you...Yet, no one does anything about it! You have nowhere else to go!

"Windows didn't crash...I...just fell down some stairs. Windows crashes because he loves me."

Sure you could ditch your PC for a Mac, but many people (including myself) can't afford that type of messy divorce, so they stay with Windows hoping he'll change. Well guess what? Windows is a fat, system hungry hog that hides his secrets (source code), and will never change!

What is a PC user to do?

There's always Linux, but for most people Linux seems too eccentric and free spirited to consider for a serious relationship.

Enter Ubuntu: The strong, sensitive, sexy, and easy to get along with Linux operating system YOU DESERVE! He's got his own place (easy to install on a PC), he's open to new ideas (free software), doesn't demand a commitment (completely free to try), gets along with your kids (documents, music, videos, peripherals, etc.), and will treat you right (secure, stable, and fun to use). He's the kind of Linux you'd want to introduce to your parents.

Please, stop living in a loveless operating system relationship. You and I both know that you deserve better... you deserve Ubuntu.
